William F. “Bill” Theurer, Jr.

William Frederick Theurer Jr., of Springfield, PA passed away peacefully, after he lost his fight with cancer on April 20th 2021. 

William was the son of the late William Frederick Theurer Sr. and Virginia Theurer (nee Frey) of Drexel Hill, PA. He graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1976 and Widener University in 1994 with his BSN of Nursing. Bill knew Kathy for many years as her brother Mike’s best friend. Bill and Kathy joined their friends on a double date and made history. After rescuing his wife in a car crash, Kathy realized he was the only one for her. They were officially married on August 18th 1984 and their life began. 
 

Bill worked at Delaware County Memorial Hospital for over twenty years and his career brought him to Devereux where he retired in 2020. His two greatest accomplishments were his two boys, who he supported in everything they did. Always with a smile on his face, he took care of his family and his patients. He loved spending time with family, watching his beloved Philadelphia teams, winning McCarthy Fantasy Football and playing with his dogs; Lucky and Willie. He touched many people and always left a longing impression.

Beloved husband of Kathleen Marie Theurer (nee McCarthy); Loving Father to Christopher William Theurer and Matthew John Theurer. Also survived by his siblings, Susan Theurer, Michael Theurer and Jennifer Ryan (nee Theurer). He is also survived by his loving in laws; Eileen Collins (nee McCarthy), Michael McCarthy, Denise McCarthy (nee Adams), Margaret McCarthy, Christine McDonald, James McCarthy, Andrea McCarthy (nee Veeder), John McCarthy, Leanne McCarthy (nee Landis), Joseph McCarthy, Stacey McCarthy (nee Harkness), Mark McCarthy and Denise McCarthy (nee Rosen).

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Saturday April 24th, 2021, 9:30 am St. Kevin Church, 200 W. Sproul Rd. Springfield, PA 19064 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30 am in the Church. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1818 Market St. Ste 2820, Philadelphia PA 19103.
