William “Bill” Jennings, 71 passed away at home with his family on Saturday, June 27th, 2020. Bill was born on November 3, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Robert and Alice (nee Thomson) Jennings. Bill was a member of the Teamsters union and worked for James J Anderson where he retired at the end of 2018. Bill loved spending his free time racing and re-building cars with his friends. He enjoyed music, especially listening to the oldies. You rarely saw him where music wasn’t playing in the background. He also enjoyed being around people and was known for popping in on friends and family just to catch up and talk about cars.
Bill is survived by his children Billy (April) Jennings and Karen (Brian) Johnston, his seven grandchildren, his longtime companion, Lorraine Martini and her children Debra (Chane) Kent and Tara (Justin) Callaway. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Jennings and sister, Mary Dively, along with nieces and nephews and many life-long friends. He was predeceased by his sisters the late Alice Marie Kelly and Margaret (Peggy) Jennings.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Thursday, July 2, 2020 5pm to 7pm O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield, PA 19064. Burial private. This was a race Bill participated in each year with his son, Billy and friends to support families who need a place to stay to be closer to their sick children.
