Virginia 'Jinny' M. (Moy) SooHoo

Virginia M. SooHoo, nee Moy 'Jinny' of Springfield, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2020.

Jinny was born in Peoria, IL and raised in Philadelphia, PA where she attended Girl’s High and graduated from Drexel Institute of Technology. There she met her husband W. Joseph SooHoo. Jinny and Joseph recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary.

Growing up, Jinny was an active member of the Philadelphia Chinese community and the Chinese Christian Church and Center. After graduating from Drexel she was proud to be one of the first female accountants with a Philadelphia law firm.

She loved classical and jazz music and the performing arts. A devoted animal lover, Jinny loved her cats and supported many animal organizations. She had a passion for cooking, especially for holiday and family gatherings. As an avid gardener with a green thumb, Jinny tended her beautiful flower beds and garden.

Jinny was predeceased by her mother Low Shee Moy and father Got Moy, sisters Dolly and Pearl, brother Richard and is survived by her sisters Emma and Constance. The beloved wife to Joseph, mother to Jennifer aka. Jasmine (Peter), Karen, Kenneth (Jennifer), and Christina (Mark). Devoted grandmother to Benjamin, Alexander, Tasha, Aiden, and Evelyn. Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
