Verino Desiderio Obituary

Verino "Reno" Desiderio, 88, of Drexel Hill, PA passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026.

Reno was the son of the late Italo and Elda Desiderio. He was a proud graduate of St. Thomas More. He attended many of the Communion Breakfasts honoring St. Tommy More.

Reno was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church for over 50 years. Later in his life, he became more involved in the Church. He was the sacristan, an Alter Server, and Eucharistic Minister. Also, he was a Knight of Columbus.

Reno was the beloved husband of the late Rita Desiderio, loving father of Joseph (Joan), Lorraine Weatherman (Terry), and Carolyn Thompson (John). Cherished Grandpa of Billy, David, Samantha and Reno and 3 great grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Bobby and sister Carol. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Friday, February 6, 2026 9:30am Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield PA 19064 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30am in the Church. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
