Thomas P. Leonard

Thomas P. Leonard, 69,of Springfield, PA passed away suddenly on January 18, 2022.

Thomas was the son of the late Denis and Beatrice (nee Gibbons) Leonard of Secane. Tom graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School and was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish. He began his printing career with Packard Press / St Ives Burrups and worked his way up from a pressman to senior level management prior to his retirement. He was the true representation of hard work and determination. He enjoyed all Philadelphia sports, but had a special place in his heart for the Eagles as he was a Season Ticket Holder for 20 years.  He also loved his Pittsburgh Steelers since he was a small boy and even though he became an Eagles Season Ticket Holder, he would still show up to Lincoln Financial Field in his Steelers jersey when they played each other.  He loved his family more than anything in this world and was there for his daughters and anyone whenever needed. He was often referred to as a GREAT MAN by many that knew him – that is a tribute to the kind, loving, sincere man that he was.

Tom was the loving Father to Dawn Leonard, Chrissy and Clint Dempsey.  He was also the best Grandfather to Cleetis the Pitbull and Pixie the Pug (deceased). Also survived by his siblings, Denis (Liz) Leonard, Austin (Annmarie) Leonard, Steven (Mary Lou) Leonard, Maureen (George) Chronaker, Philip (Colleen) Leonard Sr., Linda (Patrick) Higgins Sr.  He is predeceased by his siblings, Maryclare Huscher, Kevin Leonard Sr., Theresa Leonard, and Joseph Leonard. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Tuesday, January 25, 2022, 10am, O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd., Springfield, PA 19064 and to his Funeral Service 11am in the funeral home. Int. Private.
