Thomas A. “Tom” Hennessy

Thomas A. Hennessy, 68, of Collingdale, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving children on Thursday, June 17, 2021.

Tom was the husband of the late Kathleen "Kathy" M. Hennessy (nee Akins) and son of the late Nancy Dougherty and Francis "Frank" Hennessy. Tom is survived by his brothers, Francis "Frank" Hennessy (Barbara), Michael Hennessy and Steve Hennessy, he was the father of Colleen Lacombe (John), Walter Frith, Alicia Abruzzese (Keith) and Kathleen "Katie" Bottiglieri (Ralph). Pop Pop to Cole Robertson, Thomas Lacombe, Casey Anne Lacombe, James Frith, Nina Bottiglieri, Raphel Bottiglieri, Nadia Bottiglieri, Rocco Abruzzese, Octavia Abruzzese and Great Pop Pop to Carter John.

Tom grew up in Wynnefield and Delaware County and worked on the SEPTA railroad.  Tom enjoyed spending his time riding his Harley Davidson, watching the Flyers and had a passion for bird watching in Tinicum. He loved his Tom Clancey and Stephen King novels and jamming out to his rock music.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Monday, June 21, 2021 6pm O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield, PA 19064 and to his Funeral Service 8pm in the Funeral Home. Burial private. Family is asking that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the SPCA, 555 Sandy Bank Rd. Media, PA 19063.
