Terrence J. "Terry" O'Connell, 68, of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully with his children by his side on April 7, 2026.
Terry was the son of the late Bernard J. and Kathleen M. (McCandless) O'Connell and was born in Darby, PA. He graduated from Ridley Senior High School where he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball. His love of sports continued after high school when he joined a men’s softball league where many lifelong friendships were made.
Terry began his career as a truck driver and, through hard work, determination, and a commitment to learning, advanced into estimating and many other roles along the way. Each opportunity helped him build lasting relationships and earn the trust of those around him, ultimately led to earning the opportunity to purchase and lead HMS Interiors.
He was a supporter of Michaels Way, Evan Fest Foundation, and Eagles Fly For Leukemia.
He enjoyed golfing, especially his trips to Innisbrook, coaching his children’s BYC sports, and traveling. Terry was also a lifelong season ticket holder and avid Eagles fan. He cherished his summers in Sea Isle City and was always ready to enjoy Happy Hour and live music with family and friends.
Terry was the loving father of Heather (David) Wesolowski, Andrew (Kristen) O'Connell and Tyler (Meredith) O'Connell; adored Grandfather of Savannah, Penelope and Owen. He is survived by his former spouse, Doreen (Tassoni) O’Connell, who remained a devoted presence in his life and care. Also survived by his siblings, Maureen (Joseph) Vitulli, Tim (Beth) O'Connell and Helen O'Connell Quillen and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lisa (Ghazikian) O’Connell, his parents, Bernard and Kathleen, his niece Cristin Quillen and sister-in-law, Mary Lou O'Connell.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Tuesday April 14, 2026 at 10:00am Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2130 Franklin Ave. Morton, PA 19070 and to his Funeral Mass 11:00am in the Church. Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
