Sandra L. (Gallagher) Amanto

Sandra L. (Gallagher)) Amanto, 80, of West Chester, PA passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024.

Sande was the daughter of the late Marie Gallagher (Shuker) and was born in Philadelphia, PA.

She graduated from West Catholic High School. She was a member Holy Cross and Saint Kevin Parishes, and later Sacred Heart of Oxford. For 26 years, Sande enjoyed greeting callers and visitors while working the front reception station as the concierge at The Quadrangle, a retirement community in Haverford, PA. She enjoyed the beach, travel, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. At family events and weddings, Sande never missed the opportunity to dance with all of her beloved cousins to the song “We Are Family” by Sister Sledge.

Sande is survived by her husband of 56 years Robert A. (Bob) Amanto Sr.; Loving Mother of Ryan Amanto (Tanya) and Richard (Rick) Amanto (Maria); Cherished Grandmother to Kyrsten, Ryan Jr., Robert, Ava, Eric, and Great Grandmother of Ella and Harper. She is predeceased by her sister Barbara Franco (Gallagher) and her son Robert Amanto, Jr. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and more.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, Thursday, October 10, 2024 10:00am followed by Funeral Mass beginning at 11:30am, Saints Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382. Int Private.
