“A prince and a great man has fallen…”

“The Legend” Samuel Miletto, 80 of Secane, PA passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024. He was the son of the late Rose (Petrucci) Miletto in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA on Ashmead Street (brickyard). He was a loyal union member of Local 1955/District Council 21 for 25 hard earned years. In his younger years, Sam also worked as a ceramic tile floor and wall installer, carpet installer and a Forman at Strict Trailers. He sang bass for the Butlers Philly Doo Wop band.

As a young man, Sam enjoyed going to the trinity dance, Wagners dance hall, Lyric movie theatre, the Germantown boys club and working “back the bakery” at Scalea’s Bakery. He also enjoyed playing the lottery, going to the horse racetrack (Liberty Bell, Brandywine and Philadelphia Park), being a champion bowler, being a champion soccer player (International House), a champion pool player (8 ball and 9 ball), playing baseball (Einstein Hospital), crabbing, fishing, playing poker and doing the trade he loved, Drywall Finishing.

Beloved husband of Constance (Roach) Miletto; Loving Father of Samuel Miletto Jr, Kenneth Miletto (Deborah), Keith "Sling Raw" Miletto, the late Anthony and Michael Miletto; Cherished Pop-Pop to ALL. Brother of the late Maryann Filewicz. Also survived by Vincent Gaeta and Deborah Gaeta Sharkey. He is predeceased by his late Aunt Catherine Gaeta, Uncle Frank Petrucci, Uncle Jerry Petrucci, Uncle Augie Petrucci, Uncle Tony Petrucci and Louie Petrucci.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Wednesday January 31, 2024 7:00pm-9:00pm O'Leary Funeral Home 640 E. Springfield Road  Springfield, PA  19064 and Thursday, February 1, 2024 9:00am in the Funeral Home followed by his Funeral Service 10:00am.  Int. Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
