Rudolph Valentino Tedesco, 94, formerly of Springfield, PA passed away on Jan. 12, 2022.
Rudy was born on August 22, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Raffaele and Maria (nee Cerminaro) Tedesco. At the age of 18, Rudy met the love of his life, Theresa, at a dance. They loved dancing together throughout their lives. Rudy and Theresa were married 67 years before Theresa passed in 2016. Rudy was a carpenter by trade through Philadelphia Carpenters’ Local 8. While he retired at age 62, he still worked as a carpenter through his early 80’s. He worked on The Liberty 1 and Liberty 2 buildings and many other commercial projects throughout the city and suburbs. In his earlier years, he was an avid hunter and skeet shooter and especially enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandsons.
Beloved husband of the late Theresa, Devoted father of Ralph (JoAnne), Janet Anderson, Paul (Margie Kelly), and Ronald (Priscilla). Brother-in-law of Kay Tedesco and Muriel Barbieri. Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Wed. Jan. 19, 2022 9:30 am Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield, PA 19064 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30 am in the Church. Burial SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
