Robert A. "Bob" Delaney, 83, of Kennett Square, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2025.
Bob was the son of the late Thomas F. and Marguerite C.(Mahoney) Delaney and was born in Philadelphia, PA on Monday, September 8, 1941. He went to Saint Joe’s Grammer School in Collingdale and he graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School. In 1963 he graduated from Villanova University as valedictorian as a CPA. Robert was also named in Who’s who in American Colleges and Sciences Publications. Published in Delaware Valley Business in 1977 for being a great worker for Ecolaire INC.
He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and was a true Catholic at heart. As a young boy he was a member of theInternational Brotherhood of Teamsters. In his travels, he loved the island of Barbados for their beautiful white sandy beaches and would travel there every March for 32 years. Robert enjoyed spending time at Ocean City, New Jersey but his biggest thrill was traveling to London for the Broadway shows.
Robert and Josephine have been together for almost 26 years. They had many interests together in traveling and the theater. They were truly each other’s love. They have spent a lot of time traveling across Europe but their favorite city was London. While enjoying their summers in Ocean City, NJ they would spend their mornings riding their bikes for 10 miles dragging their two granddaughters with them.
Beloved husband of Josephine B. (Pasquarello) Delaney; Loving Father to children Robert, Andrew and Megan; Cherished Grandfather to 9 Grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Thomas Delaney. He is predeceased by his relatives who passed on before him. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and more.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Monday April 7, 2025, 9:30am, St Kevin’s Parish, 200 W Sproul Road Springfield, PA 19064, and to his Funeral Mass, Monday 10:30am in the Church. Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Contributions to Villanova University.
