Robert L. DeLuca

Robert “Bob” L. DeLuca, 82, of Springfield died on April 19, 2022 peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Philadelphia, son of the late Eugene and Emma DeLuca (nee Marini), he lived in West Philadelphia until age 13 when he moved to Springfield, where he graduated from Springfield High School in 1957.

Bob worked as a UE 107 Machinist at Westinghouse and in 1966 he expanded DeLuca Draperies, which was founded by his mother in 1953 and is now celebrating its 69th year in its 3rd generation.

He was married to the late Jane DeLuca (nee Murray) at Holy Cross in 1961 and was predeceased by his brother, Eugene V. DeLuca, and nephew, Eugene A. DeLuca.

He is survived by his children, Robert Jr. (Suzanne), Mary Jane Driscoll (Thomas), Thomas (Joana), and Kathy Lyn King (Joseph), his 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, his sister, Theresa Talvacchio, many nieces, nephews, and wonderful family friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Monday, April 25, 2022 9:30am St. Kevin Church, 200 W. Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA 19064, and to his Funeral Mass 11am in the Church. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
