Robert Louis Celestino, 54, of Havertown, PA passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on October 14, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. Robert was kind, caring, and loving, a vigorous cleaner, a foodie at heart, and a prankster all his life. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (nee Castiglione/Christie), loving father to Ariana (Kevin), cherished Pop-Pop to Benjamin Todd, devoted son of Barbara and the late Mitchell Celestino, loving brother of Karen O’Grady and her late husband Walter, Cynthia Hendelman and her late husband Jay, Sandra (Bernie) DiSantis, and M. Steven Celestino. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Robert graduated from Springfield High School and later attended Penn State University, where he graduated in 1988 with a degree in Mathematical Science and minors in Statistical Theory and German. Robert was a long-time JJ White employee, for 28 years, where he served as Vice President of Risk Management, and was appreciated by the owner Jim White and his many coworkers.
He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially walking his two Siberian Huskies, Mina and Juneau, with his wife Sandy, and spending time with his grandson and daughter. Robert absolutely loved redesigning his home, and recently completed a spectacular back porch oasis, outfitted with everything needed to entertain family, friends, and neighbors. Robert loved war reenactments, playing war games with friends and family (often by force), attending concerts, visiting amusement parks, and traveling.
