Richard K. “Richie” “Dick” Ulher, of Springfield, PA and St. Petersburg, FL, on February 12, 2021, age 95. An Auto Executive and World War II Combat Veteran. Born in So. Phila. And raised in Yeadon, graduated from Yeadon H.S. class of 1943. Son of the late William G. And Ruth (nee Kolb) Uhler, Sr. He entered the automobile field as a commission salesman, then joining Chrysler Corp., Dodge division elevated to city manager for Dodge Car and Truck. Received top manager award in 1961. Resigned and reentered retail sales and joined Pollow Chevrolet, then Bernicker Caddilac on their executive staffs. Resigned to establish Dick Uhler Chevrolet in Paoli, PA in 1972-1975. Dick and Mildred regrouped after dissolving the business to establish M&R Sales Associates to buy and sell used cars wholesale through auctions, banks, lease companies and dealers. He served in WWII from 1943-1945 with the 45th Infantry Division (Thunderbirds) as a teenage rifleman in Italy. Participated in the final assault and surrender of Rome, June 1944. Honorably discharged and awarded a Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European Middle Eastern WWII Victory Medal and Combat Infantry Badge. Married to the late Mildred M. (nee Dolack) for 44 years until her passing in 1990. In 1993 he married Emily Ritterskamp, who passed away in 1997. He is survived by his 3 children Richard, Jr., Jeff and Beth England, dear friend Betty Melley and 6 grandchildren.
