Richard E. "Rick" Siddons, 78, of Oxford, PA passed away on January 24, 2025, at Chester County Hospital, surrounded by love, laughter, and his family.
Rick was the son of the late Austin E. and Dorothy O. (Osborne) Siddons and was born in Delaware County, PA. He was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner and completed 2 years at the University of Pennsylvania.
He was honorably discharged from the Army Reserves in 1972, where he perfected his love of cooking. He went on to own and operate several businesses with the love of his life, Maureen, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.
Rick, a decorated Eagle Scout, was a certified range instructor and an award-winning marksman. He was an avid fisherman but an even bigger hunter, traveling as far as British Columbia, where he successfully “bagged” a trophy bear and wolf! He shared his love of hunting and the outdoors with his children, as well as his grandsons. He took pride in his family, which gave him great happiness.
He was the Beloved husband of Maureen Devlin Siddons; Devoted father of Michael Siddons (Theresa), Daniel Siddons, and Katie Scheckner (Jeff); Cherished “Pop” to Devlin Scheckner, Colin Scheckner, Michael Siddons, Christopher Siddons, and Jeffrey Scheckner (Chelsea); Great-Grandfather to Robert Scheckner and Lawrence Scheckner; Loving brother of Gary Siddons (Janice), Alan Siddons (Claire), and predeceased by his brother Jeff.
Relatives and friends are invited to Celebrate Rick's life at his Viewing Thursday, February 6, 2025 9:30am Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield PA 19064 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30am in the Church. Burial private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Union Fire Company #1; 351 Market St; Oxford, PA 19363.
