Richard T. “Dick” Brinsfield, 88, of Glenolden, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.
Richard was born on March 3, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Orville and Katherine Brinsfield. He later graduated from Drexel University and went on to become an Electrical Engineer for Hewlett-Packard and later Agilent Technologies until his retirement in 2012 at the age of 75.
As a proud veteran, he loved to share stories of his time when he was enlisted in the US Navy. He served from December 1955 to December 1961 as an Aviation Electronics Technician and Plane Captain, which was perfect for him as he had a certain fascination for airplanes.
He was an active member of Aldan Union Church and spent his days at their services as well as his Man Up group multiple times a week. Along with practicing his faith, he enjoyed going to dinner with family and friends, traveling, and reading.
Above all, he treasured his family and will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband to wife of 63 years, Nancy (Catanese) Brinsfield, loving father to Richard A. Brinsfield and Jeffrey (Maureen) Brinsfield, cherished grandfather to Sara Brinsfield, Katherine Brinsfield, Faith Brinsfield, Kimberly Marin, Kristin Marin, Jamie Heger (Bryant), and Anthony Marin as well as 12 great grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
Preceding his death were his two brothers, Alan (Patricia) Brinsfield and James (Susan) Brinsfield.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 9:30am in Aldan Union Church, 7 Providence Road, Aldan, PA 19018 and to his Funeral Service, Friday at 10:30am in the Church. Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
