Philomena “Dolly” Cioschi Obituary

Philomena “Dolly” (Reginelli) Cioschi, 95 of Aldan, PA passed away peacefully June 28, 2020. She was born in Philadelphia to the late Sabatino and Fidele (Piscini) Reginelli. Dolly lived 95 wonderful years on her terms and left a beautiful legacy. As she would often say "she did it all." Dolly learned to drive in 1940 at 16 years old. She continued driving well past her 95th birthday. She would often demonstrate her clutch and steering wheel shifter technique when asked about those early driving years. She married the love of her life and in 1954 they built a house together where she would raise three generations. That home was always filled with the smell of her amazing cooking. Broccoli rabe, pineapple upside down cake, biscutti, and her amazing cream puffs were just a few of the foods she perfected over the years. Routine trips to Grandmom's house for dinner or to talk always ended with you going home with a bag full of homemade gravy and meatballs. She was an expert at stain removal. Whenever someone ended up with Grandmom's gravy on their shirt she would be certain to take the shirt home to make brand new again whether they wanted her to or not. She loved traveling the world with her husband and she also enjoyed numerous trips to Disney with her family.   Her family was her world and she took so much pride in them. She lived her life around taking care of her two girls, three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. It was one of the few things she enjoyed more than a good bowl of ice cream. When she passed on to be reunited with her husband she was surrounded by her entire family in the home she built.

Dolly was the beloved wife of the late Emanuel John Cioschi, devoted mother of Dorothy (John) Hansen and Linda (Pete) Carrea. Cherished grandmother of Peter (Kris) Carrea, Michelle (Tom) Silicato and Marissa Hansen, and great grandmother of Katie, Ryan, Emily, Adrianna and Gabriel.
