Peter Scarani Obituary

Peter James Scarani, age 64, passed away on April 1, 2025, at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Langhorne, PA, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 18, 1960, Peter was raised in Springfield, Delaware County. A man of profound Catholic faith, he had a heart that extended boundlessly to everyone he encountered.

Peter was a proud graduate of Springfield High School and St. Joseph’s University, where he studied accounting. He went on to work at The CP Welde Group Accounting Firm, where he was a highly regarded and cherished employee. In addition to his professional career, Peter was also self-employed and generously offered his tax services to anyone in need.

A true innovator, Peter had a knack for building unique tools, including sand tools he crafted for family vacations in Ocean City, New Jersey. His intricate sandcastles were admired by many who passed by. Likewise, in the winter months, his snow sculptures were a little piece of happiness for people driving by. He had a talent for fixing anything and was always ready to lend a hand to his family and friends. Among his many creations was a motorized beach cart that made carrying everything to the beach ten times easier and offered an easy way for his Mom to get past the deep sand.

Peter’s love for his children, nieces, and nephews knew no bounds. He relished every opportunity to teach them, whether it was showing them how to swim, building birdhouses together, or baking homemade cakes for birthdays simply for the joy of it. His passion for life, coupled with his wit and clever inventions, made him a beloved friend and an irreplaceable member of his family. Peter had a gift for making others laugh and feel appreciated, and his legacy of kindness and creativity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Peter is survived by his children, Stephen Scarani (Kate), Nicole Scarani, John Scarani, and beloved ex-wife Jennifer Scarani. He is also survived by his mother, Beverly Scarani (nee McCormick), and his siblings, Cynthia Azzarano (Michael), David Scarani (Karen), Michael Scarani, and Stacy Redden (Jack). Peter is predeceased by his father, Jean Scarani.

He leaves behind a loving legacy in his nieces and nephews: Stephanie Azzarano Eisenman, Kristen (Josh) Bonner, Alex Redden Boucini (Robert), Schuyler Chartier (Richard), Erin Redden (Luke), Andrew Scarani (Lexi), Sydney Scarani, Jacob Scarani, Chelsea Scarani, and Dylan Scarani, as well as his great-nieces and great-nephews: Aria, Colton, Katerina, Vinny, Jackson, and Gabriel.

Peter's family and friends will forever carry with them the cherished memories of his creativity, his talent for fixing things, his patience, and his humor. His presence will continue to impact the lives of those who were lucky enough to know him.
