Nicholas J. Fagnano, 91, of Springfield, PA passed away at home on December 25, 2021.
Nick was born in Secane, PA to Nicola and Isolina (nee DMuzio) Fagnano on January 6, 1930. He was a graduate of Collingdale High School. He served as a Corporal in the Army during the Korean War; serving in the 851st Comm Recon Detail, earning the Merit Unit Citation. He worked at General Electric for most of his career. He was a long-time member of Holy Cross Church and a Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5428, Collingdale, PA. He enjoyed flying, earning his Pilot's License after his Army service. In his later years, he enjoyed listening to music and watching and discussing sports and classic TV shows. Nick was a kind, generous, intelligent, humorous gentleman until the very end; all who met him loved him instantly. His family and friends wish to send a special thank you to the many persons who came to care for Nick and became fast and good friends. Your care, concern, companionship, and the special attention you showed to Nick in his last months will always be remembered as the greatest kindness.
Nick is survived by his niece, Carole (John) Naas of Coeur d'Alene, ID, and dear friends Larissa and Jake Leahan and Bonnie McGonigle. He is predeceased by his parents and siblings Louis (Rose), Mary, and Emilia Fagnano, niece Rosemary (William) Angelone of Mays Landing, NJ, and his dear friend and caregiver, Amal Theresa Ollis. He is also survived by his great-nieces and nephews and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Thursday, December 30, 2021, 9:30am Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd., Springfield, PA 19064, and to his Funeral Mass 10:30am in the Church. Int. SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
