Michael J. “Beau” Watson age 72, of Upper Darby passed away peacefully on January 22, 2021.
Beau was the son of the late Samuel F. Watson and Dorothy M. (nee Brennan) Watson of Philadelphia. He graduated from Father Judge High School. He was a carpenter, painter, and a jack-of-all trades; there was very little that he could not do. Many of his nephews (and some nieces) worked with him over the years and he taught them how to fix things. He was a kind, funny, and fiercely loyal man who was adored by all who knew him. Beau enjoyed fishing, traveling to his trailer in New Jersey, going to the casino and racetrack, as well as playing the lottery. Most of all he loved his family with a passion and was always the first one there to help in whatever way was needed. He also loved music -- his taste was eclectic, but he especially treasured oldies and doo-wop, and was usually found singing and harmonizing. He was always listening to songs and loved sharing his cherished tunes with all.
Beloved husband of Jane Giacinto-Watson (nee Conners); loving father-figure to the Lowes and McCarthys: James, Amy (Neil), Emily (DJ), Nate (Tiffany), Daniel (Ali), Abigail (John), the late Brian (Brittany), and Lauren (Ione). Cherished grandfather-figure to 13 great-nieces and nephews: Justin, Julian, Lily, Joshua, Nadia, Ella, Cypress, Olivia, Ryland, Joseph, Jonah, Cedar, and Erin. Adored son-in-law to Betty Conners and beloved brother-in law to Cathy Lowe, Bill Conners, and Sue and Dave McCarthy.
He is predeceased by his brother Samuel, and his parents. He is survived by his beloved siblings Marie Watson and Ellen (O’Malley) Watson. Loving uncle to Watson family: Sammy (Melissa), Dennis (the late Alicia), Michael (Adrienne), Patrick, Nancy (Lou), and Tina (Duke) and was a cherished great-uncle to 7 Watsons: Sean, Katie, Louis, Grace, Sophia, Nicholas, and Christina. Also survived by his cherished sister Dorothy (Watson) Nelk and her children, Donna, Diane, and the late Jackie and Ricky, plus 7 great-nephews and nieces. There were also many cousins, in addition to countless friends.
