Michael G. Hoffmann, lovingly known as “The T-Shirt Man,” passed away peacefully in his home on May 5, 2025, surrounded by family. He was 70 years old.
A proud Philadelphia native, Mike was known for his big heart, booming voice, and the way he lit up any backyard, especially with the Phillies game on and music playing loud enough for the whole block to enjoy. His cats, Boots and Zoe, were usually close by, completing the scene he loved most.
For the last 18 years, he shared a beautiful life with his devoted companion, Ela. Together, they built a home full of love, laughter, and a whole lot of screen-printed T-shirts. If you needed shirts made, Mike was your guy. His creativity, craftsmanship, and hustle made him a beloved figure in the community.
Mike is survived by his life companion, Ela (Karasiewicz). His siblings, Patrick (Chicky) Hoffmann, Gregory (Jane) Hoffmann, and sisters Kathe (John) Prettyman and Kim (Michael) Giordano. He was a proud father to Kelly (Joseph) Small and Michael (Jennifer) Hoffmann and a loving stepfather to Monique (David) DeLeo and Stefan (Trujillo), whom he embraced as his own. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Michael and Lucas Hoffmann, Joey, Jonny, and Sadie Small, and his beloved grandpups: Duke, Cheech, and Mila DeLeo
He was welcomed into eternal peace by his parents, Geraldine “Gerre” and Francis “Cheech” Hoffmann, and brother Francis “MadDog”(Patricia) Hoffmann.
Mike had a way of making everyone feel like family. He showed up when it mattered, gave without hesitation, and filled every space with laughter and warmth. His memory will live on in every backyard playlist, every Phillies game, every perfectly printed T-shirt, and in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Friday, May 9, 2025 9:30am St. Kevin Church, 200 W. Sproul Rd. Springfield, PA 19064 and to his Funeral Mass Friday 11am in the Church. Burial SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
