Michael D. "Doc" Dougherty, Jr.

Michael D. Dougherty Jr. (Doc) of Williamstown, NJ formerly of Southwest Philadelphia passed away suddenly June 3, 2020. He is survived by his best friend and soulmate his wife Tammie Dougherty (nee Sheridan),  his three loving children; Petie Halloran, Michael Dougherty and Kayla Dougherty. Also his parents Michael and Joan  (nee Houston) Dougherty formerly of Southwest Philadelphia. Michael is also survived by his sister Jennifer, his 2 brother in-laws Jim and Franny, sister in-law Kristie, nephews Aidan and Ryan, mother-in-law Gail, father-in -law Wayne, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. A special mention to his 3 fur babies, Bonnie and Clyde and his Princess Leia.

Michael was a business owner of Junk Yard Dogs in Glassboro NJ for many years and more recently Southwest Philadelphia where his love of cars and towing got to be his reality. He loved the interaction with people and had extensive knowledge of car parts. Michael was a thrill seeker he enjoyed riding motorcycles, wave runners and skiing. He also loved to vacation and travel, he was an avid cook and grill master who enjoyed sharing his meals with family and friends. However his number one priority in life were his three children. His goal was to make them happy, he was devoted to either coaching them on the sidelines or cheering them on from the stands. They were his greatest legacy along with his devotion to his wife Tammie of 21 years. They all had an unbreakable bond of trust, love and family first. He will be deeply missed, but we know that he left this world with a full heart, for having known the love and happiness that surrounded him. 

Relatives and friends are invited to Michael's Viewing, Tuesday June 9, 2020 9:30 am St. Kevin Church, 200 Sproul Rd. Springfield, PA. 19064 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30am in the Church. Burial SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Due to the current restrictions please wear a mask and social distance in the Church.
