Marybeth (Nelson) Hawkins

Marybeth Hawkins, 70, of Springfield, PA, passed away peacefully on May 16th 2024.

Marybeth was the daughter of the late George and Anne Nelson and was born in Delaware County, PA. She graduated from Cardinal O’Hara after attending Holy Cross. She grew up In the Westbrook Park section of Clifton Heights where she met lifelong friends. Marybeth went on to work at Exxon Mobile for over 40 years, a job which she loved. This job took her from Paulsboro, New Jersey to Monkton, Canada.

Marybeth was the beloved wife of the late Richard Hawkins, loving mother of Brian (Krysta) and Beth; Sister to the late Carolyn and Georgeanne Nelson. 

Some of Marybeth’s favorite things in life included reading, especially Mary Higgins Clark, spending time with her friends and family, going down the shore, cleaning the house and cooking. Marybeth had a great sense of humor, she loved laughing and making others laugh.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 9:30AM Holy Cross Church  651 E. Springfield Road  Springfield, PA 19064 and to her Funeral Mass 10:30AM in the Church. Int. Private.
