Mary Ann P. (Bruno) Palermo

With deep love and heavy hearts, the family of Mary Ann Palermo announces her peaceful passing on November 21, 2025. Born on March 21, 1941, Mary Ann lived a life defined by generosity, warmth, and an unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

Mary Ann is reunited in heaven with her beloved late husband, Ernest Palermo, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and family.

The oldest of four children, Mary Ann is predeceased by her brother Jerry and is survived by her siblings Phyllis Flocco (husband Robert) and Natale Bruno (wife Robin), who will forever cherish her memory.

She is lovingly remembered by her children and grandchildren;
 • Ronald Palermo, of Merrimac, MA (his late wife Jennifer), and their daughters Hayley and   Avery
 • Christopher Palermo, of Media, PA, and his wife MaryAnn, along with their children Nicholas and Annamarie
 • Natalie Kurtz, of Roswell, GA, and her husband Joel, and their children Ella and Carter

Mary Ann had a gift for making people feel at home. Known as the neighborhood cook, she welcomed children and families into her kitchen with open arms. Whether baking cookies with her sister or grandchildren, preparing a warm meal for a hungry crowd or filling the house with the smell of fresh-baked treats during the holidays, Mary Ann shared her love through food. Her famous Christmas cookies earned her the nickname “the cookie lady,” a title she cherished and lived up to every year.

Family and friends are invited to her Viewing Monday, December 1, 2025 9:30am at St. Kevin’s Church, 200 W Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064, and to her Funeral Mass 10:30am in the Church. Mary Ann will be laid to rest at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064.
