Mary K. (Griffin) Laughlin

Mary K. Laughlin (nee Griffin), a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the age of 82.

Mary was the daughter of the late Helen and Paul Griffin. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls. Mary was a member of Our Mother of Sorrows and Saint Callistus parishes in Philadelphia and later Holy Cross in Springfield, PA. In addition to raising a family, she worked many years as a unit clerk at Bryn Mawr Hospital and enjoyed greeting guests and golfers at the Springfield Country Club. Mary will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and strength. She dedicated her life to her family and friends and was always there with a listening ear, a funny story, and a helping hand to anyone in need. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends and was very proud of her Irish heritage.

Mary was the beloved wife of Thomas M. Laughlin for 61 years. Loving mother of Thomas (Lisa) Laughlin, Michael Laughlin, Joseph (Maura) Laughlin, and Sean (Wendy) Laughlin; Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her brother William (Gloria) Griffin. She was a loving sister-in-law to the late Dolores and James Rogers, John (late Bunny) Laughlin, Marie (Paul) McElroy, the late Bobby (Alice) Laughlin and an aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her cousins, many lifelong friends, and her trusted dog Kyoto (aka Frank).

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, 9:30AM Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Road, Springfield, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM in the Church. Int Private.
