Mary (Hoffecker) Coughlan, 90, of Springfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 18th, 2024.
Mary was born on December 27th, 1933, to the late Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Lake) Hoffecker. Mary was the youngest of 10 children. She was a graduate of Yeadon High School, along with being the first of her family to graduate from college in 1956 from Bloomsburg State Teachers College (Bloomsburg University).
Beloved Wife of the late Jay D. Coughlan; Devoted Mother of John Jay (Jule) Coughlan, Michael A. (Kathy Strailey) Coughlan, Mary Hope (Francis) McCarry, Diane M. (George) Kweder. Cherished grandmother to Alexa (George), Francis (Kelsey), Michael, Jay (Kristy), Ryan, Glenn (Bryanna), Derek, Joseph (Emily), Emily (Chris), Tyler (Salena) and Geordy. Amazing great-grandmother to Leo, Brooklyn, Rosie, Teddy, JJ, Nate, Audrey, Scarlett, CJ, and Joanie. Mary is survived by many nieces and nephews
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Friday June 21, 2024, 9:30am Holy Cross Church, 651 E Springfield Rd, Springfield PA 19064 and to her Funeral Mass 10:30am in the Church. Burial SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
