Marion A. Check

Marion A. Check, 91, of Glenolden, PA passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025.

Marion was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Fitowski) Check and was born in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Hallahan High School for Girls and lived in Delaware County since 1960, being a member of St. Joseph Church in Collingdale since then. She worked for Bell Telephone (Verizon) from 1953 to 1991, when she retired. 

Marion enjoyed the Jersey shore on Cresse Avenue in Wildwood, NJ for many years with her mother and a multitude of family and visitors over the years. There were also regular visits to the Atlantic City Casinos with her mother, sister Eleanor and husband George, as well as Harrah's in Chester. There were occasional trips to Las Vegas too. She loved her family holidays spent with the Friels, McNamaras, Kayatis and Freedmans over the years. She will be dearly missed this Thanksgiving, one of her favorite holidays.

Beloved Aunt of Karen Friel, Christine McNamara, George Kayati, Stephanie Freedman, Diane Stallbaum, Eileen Ranieri, Joanne D'Angella, Lorraine Zito, Dorothy Scahill, Ethel West, Cheryl Buscemi and Leonard Check and many great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Leonard Check, Anna Lynch, Grace Miller, Eleanor Kayati, Lorraine Cullinan, Edward and Stephen Check, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Monday, November 24, 2025 9:30am St. Joseph Church, 500 Woodlawn Ave. Collingdale, PA 19023 and to her Funeral Mass 10:30am in the Church. Int. Holy Cross Cemetery.
