Marguerite M. "Moxie" (Duffy) McCutcheon

Marguerite M. “Moxie” (Duffy) McCutcheon, 91 of Berwyn, PA formerly of Glenolden, PA passed away February 26, 2021.

She was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late John and Marguerite (Connolly) Duffy. Moxie was a graduate of West Catholic Girls High School, class of 1947. She was a Draftswoman for Bell Telephone and worked for Marriott Corp for 10 years. Moxie was active in the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Grade School in Collingdale, and Msgr. Bonner High School in Lansdowne. She served on the Board of the Home & School Assoc. of Archbishop Prendergast High School for 12 years and was president for 3 years. Moxie was a monthly donor of platelets and white cells for Leukemia patients. She was a longtime lector at St. Joseph’s Church in Collingdale and a parishioner for 50 years. She was an avid reader, seamstress and enjoyed crafting. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Moxie was the beloved wife of the late Edward “Dutch” McCutcheon, Sr., devoted mother of Mary (Joseph) McKenna, Eileen (Daniel) Vas, Edward (Susan) McCutcheon Jr., Patricia (Steven) Dietrich, Joan (Michael) Curley, Celestine (David) Silverman and John (Cheryl) McCutcheon. Cherished grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Wed. March 3, 2021 9:30am St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Rd. Drexel Hill, PA 19026 and to her Funeral Mass 10:30am in the Church. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
