Margaret I. Morrell, 100 of Seaside Park, NJ passed peacefully of natural causes in her daughter’s Springfield home on January 9, 2022. She was born Margaret Isabell Anderson in Philadelphia, PA to William and Margaret (nee Taggart) Anderson. She graduated from West Philadelphia H.S. in 1940 and served as President of the class. She married her husband, William Andrew Morrell, and while living in Aldan, PA, Margaret was very active in the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Order of the Amaranth. Along with being a wonderful, devoted mother, wife, and grandmother she was a Piano Teacher for many years. She also served as an Organist and Choir Director in various PA and NJ churches from 1947-2007.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband William and her son David (Anne) W. Morrell of Delaware. She is survived by her 2 daughters – Janice (John Lippincott) of Seaside Park, NJ and Margaret (Richard King) of Springfield, PA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Alec, Douglas, and Meredith Morrell, John S. Lippincott, and Richard and Laura King and a great grandson, David Ross Morrell.
Friends and family of Margaret will always remember her to be fiercely independent, creative, strong willed, generous, charitable and a very loving, special lady.
