Margaret T. (Rooney) Foley

Margaret T. Foley nee Rooney, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024. Born in Carra, Bonniconlon, Ireland.  Daughter of the late Michael Mulrooney and Maria Gallagher.  Beloved wife of John T. Foley, before his death on July 21, 2011.  She is survived by many nieces and nephews in Ireland, England and USA. 

Margaret was a housekeeper for priests for 25 years.  In her spare time she made the altar boys surplices. She made purificators and finger towels to help the mission at Immaculate Conception Church at 314 Street, San Antonia, Texas.  Margaret collected 26 sets of vestments and did some repairs where needed.  Margaret served mass in Latin for a sick priest at Villa St. Joseph in Darby, PA. She felt it  was an honor and privilege to serve God's holy priests.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Tuesday November 5, 2024 9:30am Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield PA 19064 and to her Funeral Mass 10am in the Church. Interment St. Denis Cemetery.
