Manuel J. "Spike" Bellon

Manuel J. "Spike" Bellon, 92, of Collingdale, PA passed away on April 1, 2023.

Manuel was born on November 17, 1930, son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Chafala) Bellon of South Philadelphia, PA. At age 15 he worked in his family’s bakery. He was drafted and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Worked and retired from the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia. Spike was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of the late Florence (Reilly); Loving Father of MariaElena (Richard) Rodia, Karen (Ronald) Giordano, Lisa (Raphael) LaPorta and Gina Bellon; Cherished Grandfather of Michael, Paulina, Angelina, Anthony, Raphael and Dominic.  Beloved brother of Carmen Veneri and James Bellon and predeceased by Joseph Bellon, Delores Powell and Rose Bellon. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Saturday April 15, 2023 9:30am Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield, PA 19064 and to his Funeral Mass, Sat. 10:30am in the Church. Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
