Madalyn G. (Addison) Parr, 96, of Clifton Heights, PA passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026.
Madalyn was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Dunn) Addison and was born in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from West Catholic Girls High School
She was a devout member of Holy Cross Parish for 70 years. The Catholic Church was the basis of her life and got her through the good times and the bad. She was very active in Church activities: she ironed the Church linens for over 50 years; she contributed monthly casseroles to St. John's Hospice Meals for the Homeless; she worked at the Drop-In Center; she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus #590; she volunteered at the Food Pantry and was a member of the Holy Cross Women's Club for many years. She always enjoyed going on their various trips. She had the opportunity to visit her son in California many times. However, one of her favorite trips was to Hawaii with her mother to visit her daughter stationed there in the U.S. Navy. She was also a member of the Active Seniors when she became old enough to join! Madalyn savored all the precious moments she spent with her family and friends, especially at holiday gatherings throughout the years. Lastly and most importantly, she was a Pro-Life advocate for her entire life.
Beloved wife of the late Frank Parr; Loving Mother to Thomas (Christina) Parr of Downingtown, Joanne (Mark) Dreher of Harrisburg, James (Kimberly) of Suisun City, California, Karen Buchan of Upper Darby, Teresa (Richard) Lord of Wyomissing and Michael Parr of Clifton Heights; Cherished Grandmother to numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brother, William Addison Jr. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Family and friends are invited to her Viewing Wednesday, June 3, 2026 9:30 am Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield, PA 19064 and to her Funeral Mass 10:30 am in the Church. Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
