Lucia R. (Rossetti) Woodward, age 93, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025.
Born in Lettopalena, Italy, Lucia was the beloved daughter of the late Filippo and Rosa (DiClaudio) Rossetti. She was a proud graduate of Instituto Cristo Re in Casamassima,

Lucia had a deep love for music and children. She brought joy to many through her singing and musical talents, often playing the piano or accordion at the Discovery School in Springfield, which she founded and lovingly ran with her husband for decades. She and her husband shared a passion for travel, exploring the world together, yet she always found her heart drawn back to her cherished hometown of Lettopalena in the Abruzzi.
She enjoyed cooking and was a gracious host for large family events, always bringing family together.
She was the devoted wife of the late Albert Woodward and is survived by her brothers, Amedeo and Ascanio. She was predeceased by her brothers Primo and Palmino. Lucia also leaves behind many adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 9:30AM at O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd., Springfield, PA 19064 and to her Funeral Service at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Longwood Cemetery.
