Louis Durham, Jr. Obituary

Louis Clarence Durham, 55, of Wallingford, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2025, while asleep beside his loving wife.

Born in Ridley, PA and raised in Springfield, Pennsylvania, Louis also known as ‘Durham’  as referred to by the students of his track team, was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, coach, and friend whose life was defined by service, faith, and love for others. A God-fearing man, he lived his life guided by his faith and a deep commitment to helping those around him.

Louis was widely known and respected as a track coach, mentoring and guiding countless young athletes throughout the community. To many, he was more than a coach; he was a leader, a role model, and someone who believed deeply in the potential of others.

Louis was the kind of man who deeply valued family and love. He showed up for people in the moments they truly needed him, not just when it was convenient. His presence filled rooms with warmth and love, and he had a unique ability to bring people together. For his children by marriage, he became the father figure they never had ,offering guidance, support, and unwavering care.

He was a servant to his community, a leader among those who knew him, and a man whose actions spoke louder than words. Louis was also a die hard fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, proudly representing with his Kelly green and always a hearty “Go Birds!”

Above all, Louis cherished his family. He loved them in every scenario and showed up in every room.

He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Durham, his mother Surgunia, his children, Isaiah D., David, Cameron, Jada, Xavier, Alexis, Laci, Andrew, Mya Brennan, and Joey, his siblings Frank Sr. and Patricia as well as his beloved grandchildren, Isaiah E., Cameron Jr., Everest, Ryleigh, Kyrie, and Brandon. He is also survived by a host of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Durham Sr.

Louis will be remembered as a devoted family man, a respected coach, a servant to his community, and a real man whose legacy of love, leadership, and support will live on in the many lives he touched.
