Leon J. Hendrzak

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Leon Hendrzak, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life peacefully on 5/3/2025 at the age of 83

Leon was a devoted father to his five sons—David, Eric, Darrin, Scott, and Todd—who carry forward his strength, humor, and love of the outdoors. He was a cherished husband to his late wife, Judith, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and partnership until her passing in 2016. Their bond was one of deep devotion and enduring friendship. 

A man of many passions, Leon was an avid saltwater fisherman who found joy and peace in the rhythm of the tides. He spent countless hours on the water, casting lines and sharing stories. He also loved hunting, embracing the quiet solitude of the woods and the thrill of the season.  

In his community, Leon will be fondly remembered as the spirited bingo caller at St. Josaphat’s. With his warm voice and welcoming presence, he brought energy and joy to all who attended. His kindness, patience, and sense of humor made him a friend to many and a man who left a lasting impression on all who knew him.  

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Leon is finally at rest—reunited with Judith, casting his line into waters that never grow rough,. His legacy of quiet humor, steadfast faith, and unfailing love will echo through the generations he helped shape.

May he rest in eternal peace.
