Kathleen H. (Howard) Foley

Kathleen Foley (nee Howard) 71, of Clifton Heights, PA passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025. Kathleen was the second youngest of five siblings born to the late George and Frances Howard. Kathleen was born and raised in Duquesne, PA, where she could often be seen playing with friends, spending time with siblings, and caring for various neighborhood cats. This childhood fondness for animals was a passion that she maintained into adulthood. 

After graduating from Duquesne High School, Kathleen began her career as an Executive Administrative Assistant. Kathleen’s inclination towards organization, attention to detail, and natural intellect made her an exceptional asset to all her employers. Upon moving to Philadelphia, she began working at Aramark, where she would work for 39 years until her retirement. 

Despite this professional success, there was one title she treasured most and that was mom. Kathleen often said being a mother to her son Brendan was her life’s greatest joy. Throughout Brendan’s childhood, she could often be seen at various sporting events or volunteering at school activities. 

Kathleen loved spending time with family, and going to concerts. She also loved traveling specifically with her favorite travel companion, her niece Amanda. A fierce advocate for animals and lover of the environment, Kathleen championed many causes close to her heart. Above all else, Kathleen’s family will miss her infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. 

Kathleen was survived by her son Brendan (Deanna) Foley, siblings Thomas (Susan) Howard, Joanne Goldbach, Patsy (James) Manning and Maureen Howard, Sisters-in-Law Helen (Ed) O’Donnell and Bernadette  (Joseph) Serratore. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and cousins. She is predeceased by her father George Howard, her mother Frances Howard (Nee Hartel), and brother-in-law Gil Goldbach.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Saturday, February 15, 2025 10am O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd., Springfield, PA 19064 and to her Funeral Service Saturday 11am, in the Funeral Home. Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
