Karen M. (D'Orazio) Flower

Karen M. (nee D’Orazio) Flower, 69, of Peach Bottom, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on December 20, 2021.

Karen was born on July 24, 1952, in Philadelphia, PA, to Romeo and Kathryn (nee Ryan) D’Orazio and was raised in Upper Darby, PA, where she lived until moving to Peach Bottom, PA, with her beloved husband, Jeffrey Flower, in 1999.

Karen had a truly beautiful, vibrant spirit, and she lived for her family. Her husband Jeff; her parents Kay and the late Romeo; her siblings Patricia (D’Orazio) Schnell (Gary), Michael D’Orazio (Maryclaire), and Stephen D’Orazio (Chrissy); and her treasured “kids” - nieces and nephews Michael D’Orazio, Jr. (Janine), Lisa D’Orazio Lowther (James), Christopher D’Orazio, Timothy D’Orazio (Lauren), Olivia D’Orazio, Jessica D’Orazio, and Julia D’Orazio, and great-nieces and nephews Delaney Lowther, Viviana D’Orazio, Aubrey D’Orazio, Luciano D’Orazio, Carly D’Orazio, and TJ D’Orazio - were her greatest joys.

Karen was a long-time employee of Delaware County Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a Lab Technician and Phlebotomist. Karen had a curious, creative mind and loved learning about the sciences and infectious diseases. A teller of incredible stories, a giver of valuable advice, and a vault for secrets and memories, there was nothing you couldn’t share with Karen. She was selfless with her many gifts, and there was never any doubt about her feelings for her friends and her family - both human and canine. Her generosity of spirit was endless, and she served the community of Christ Lutheran Church in Upper Darby, PA, for many years. Karen is already sorely missed by so many, especially her family.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 22 at 11 am, Christ Lutheran Church, 7240 Walnut Street, Upper Darby, PA 19082.
