Joseph E. Rossi

Joseph E. "Joe" Rossi, 73 of Covington, Louisiana, formerly of Essington, PA and Bear, Delaware, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2023.

Joseph was the son of the late Francis and Josephine Rossi of Essington, PA. He graduated from St. James Catholic High School and attended Cheyney College.

He was a member of Saint Peter Catholic Church and attended Mass faithfully every Sunday. Joe was a talented musician and performed in several bands in his younger years. He also wrote and performed his own original music. He was an avid reader completing several hardbound books a month which he would then donate to the VA two or three times a year. Joe loved to cook and was co-owner of Rossi's Town Inn in Essington, PA with his brother George. He went on to own restaurants in Delaware, Florida and Louisiana. He was proud to be famous for his cheesesteaks and steamed crabs.

Loving Father to Josephine "Josie" Rossi Graziola (Scott) and Peter "Pete" Rossi (Kimberly); Cherished Grandfather to Joey, Faith, Jolie, Gauge and Anthony (Kara); Great Grandfather to Isaac and Elliott. Also survived by his brother George (Lorraine) and loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Wednesday, May 17, 2023 9:30am, Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield PA 19064 and to his Funeral Mass, Wednesday, 10:30am in the Church. Int. Holy Cross Cemetery.
