Joseph J. Pitts

Joseph J Pitts, 64 of Darby, PA was found deceased while away in Atlantic City on March 13, 2021.

Joseph was born in Philadelphia and graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School. He was a hardworking, loyal, and determined man. He went on to learn many trades and he could literally do anything he put his mind to. Joseph was our very own Superman. He spent the latter part of his life as a Steamfitter for the local 420 for 15+ years.

Joseph is survived by his daughter, Jennifer nee Capizzi (Matthew) Pinto; grandchildren, Madison and Matthew Pinto Jr; his twin brother, John J Pitts Jr, sisters, Mary Pitts and Joann (Mark) Larson; sister-in-law, Maureen Capizzi; brother-in-law, Vince (Gina) Capizzi and brother, James “Jim” Pitts. Also survived by his loving girlfriend, Sue Paddleford; his honorary son Ron Simeone, many beloved nieces and nephews, fur-baby Coco and his 1966 Chevelle.

He was predeceased by his father, John J. Pitts, Sr. and his mother, Mary Pitts (nee Melko); his beloved wife and soulmate Mary Pitts (nee Capizzi).

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Friday, March 26, 2021 6pm to 8pm, O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield, PA 19064.  Anyone who wishes to share a few words, or a fond memory are encouraged to write a little note and if time permits some of them can be read aloud at the funeral.
