Joseph M. Murta

Joseph M. Murta, 57, previously of Ridley Park, PA passed away on April 12, 2023.

Joseph was the son of the late Joseph P. and Elaine M. (Gallagher) Murta. He was a graduate of St. James High School class of 1983.

Joe proudly served in the United States Army for 18 years serving in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. He enjoyed all Philadelphia team sports and time with family and friends.

Joe is survived by his brothers John Murta, James (Michelle) Murta, and Robert Murta. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:30am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2230 Franklin Ave Morton, PA 19070 as well as his Funeral Mass at 12:30 in the church. Burial will be private.
