Jospeh (Joe) Patrick McCloskey Jr, 84, of North Wildwood, NJ passed away peacefully On May 6, 2026, surrounded by family.
Joe was the son of the late Joseph P. And Mary E. (Lannon) McCloskey, Sr. and was born in Philadelphia, Pa. He was the proud graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys class of 1959. Joe was a long time member of St. Joseph's Parish in Collingdale and a 50 year member Of The Men of Malvern Retreat. He was also a member of the Black Jack Kehoe Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, The Knights of Columbus, Moose and Elks Lodges. In addition, Joe was well known for his rendition of Mack the Knife at all family and friends weddings. He was a devoted fan of Notre Dame Football, Philadelphia Flyers and Eagles. The most charismatic man you could ever meet with the ability to make any short story long, which many friends at the bars in NWW could attest. He enjoyed spending his summer days on the beach with his family.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Marylou. Loving father to Joseph L. (Donna), Marybeth Malone (Brian), Trisha Klingerman (Paul, Louis (Mindy), and Eileen. Cherished grandfather to Danielle (Joe), Joseph (Dana), Suzanne, Caitlyn (Stephen), Brian (Margo) Carly (Nick), Seamus (Gabriela), Maggie (Pete), Matthew, Taylor (Cyle), Devin, Timothy (Casey), Sarah (Shane), Grace (Patrick), Brendan (Taylor), Nicole, Kathleen, Tommy. Also, his 17 great-grandchildren and sisters Patricia, Geraldine and Maureen.
Joe was predeceased by his daughter, Kathleen and his siblings Stephen, Edward, James, John (Jackie) and MaryTheresa.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Thursday, May 21, 2026 10am at St Ann's Church, 2901 Atlantic Ave, Wildwood, NJ followed by his Funeral Mass at 11am. Int private.
