Joseph M. Magee, III

Joseph M. Magee III ‘Joe’, 50, of Drexel Hill, PA passed away October 15, 2021.

Joseph was born in 1971 in Philadelphia to Joseph and Margaret Mary (nee McLernon) Magee and was raised in Meadowbrook where he attended St. Hilary of Poitiers grade school. He graduated from St. Joseph’s Preparatory School and St. Joseph’s University. He was a member of St. Andrew Parish and served on St. Andrew’s CYO board. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching the Phillies and the Eagles, watching and playing golf – especially the annual outing with former Prep classmates – and the music of Bruce Springsteen. He was a news junkie and a history buff who was interested in all things Philadelphia.

Beloved husband of Jacqueline (nee Ray) Magee; devoted father of Amelia and Stella; loving son of Joe and Margie; cherished brother of David (Carolyn), Meg (Michael) Seminack, Kate (Nick) DiSandro, and Peter (Allison). Joe is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and 10 nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Wednesday October 20, 2021 6pm O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Road, Springfield, PA 19064 and Thursday, October 21, 9:30 am in the funeral home. His Funeral Mass will be 11am St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill. Int. Holy Cross Cemetery. Contributions in Joe’s memory may be made to Saint Andrew School, 535 Mason Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA 19026.
