Joseph Peter Calabrese, 45, of Springfield, PA, passed away surrounded by his family on July 17, 2025.
Joseph was the son of Joseph and Marianne (Rinaldi) Calabrese and was born in Drexel Hill, PA. He graduated from Springfield High School (98) and Delaware County Community College (02), with an associate's degree in Restaurant Management.
Throughout his career, he was employed by MC Catering, Springfield Ravioli, Thunderbird Pizza, Philadelphia Airport Marriott, Stephen's on State, and D'Aversa Builders. He was most recently with Nick's Roast Beef. Over the years and locations, Joseph made and maintained many close personal friendships with his fellow workers. Joseph loved preparing and serving food to others. He also loved attending and watching all Philly sports teams, especially the Phillies and Eagles. He traveled with his brothers and close friends to attend away games. Joseph loved parades and attended the Phillies and both Eagles championship parades with his friends and family. He attended over three decades of Mummer's Parades, first as an observer, then marching as a Comic. He was happiest when he could cook for holiday family functions because he loved his extended family dearly.
Beloved son of Joseph and Marianne; cherished oldest brother of Anthony, Louis, and Anna (Brian Regan). Treasured Uncle to Noah, Natalie, and David. He is predeceased by his grandparents Louis and Anna Calabrese, Rocco and Mary Rinaldi, his Godfather Peter Calabrese, Aunt Helen, Uncle Lou, and Aunt Mary Ann Calabrese, and Cousin Stephen Rinaldi.
