Joseph F. Bauer

Joseph Bauer, age 89, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2021.

Joseph was the son of the late Fred and Annie Bauer and was born in Philadelphia.  Joseph was a proud Navy veteran who served on the USS Willard Keith during the Korean War.  He was a member of the American Legion.  He enjoyed his family, attending the USS Willard Keith annual reunions and sharing stories of his life experiences with friends, family and his Navy buddies.

Beloved husband of the late Joan Bauer for 34 years and late Catherine Bauer for 22 years.  Loving father to the late Joanne Rota and to Susan MacDade and Son in Law Kevin MacDade.  Loving Stepfather to Karen Scanlan and Robert MacDade.  Cherished Grandfather to 12 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren: Declan, Jaxon, Callie and Morgan.  Also survived by his brother, Richard Bauer and cousin, Jewel Rocco.  Richard, Jewel and Joe were referred to as the “3 Musketeers“ while growing up and were inseparable.  He is predeceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.  He also is survived by many nephews, nieces, and more

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Saturday February 27, 2021 10am, O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E Springfield Rd, Springfield, PA 19064 and to his Memorial Service 11am, in the Funeral Home. Int. Private Services will follow strict COVID guidelines.
