John K. "Jack" Ray

John K. "Jack" 78, of Phila, PA on Nov. 14, 2021. Beloved husband of Nancy A. (Bernatavicius). Devoted father of Jacqueline (The late Joseph) Magee and Susan (Rick) Garretson. Cherished grandfather of Amelia, Ricky, AJ and Stella.

Jack was born in 1943 in Philadelphia and was raised in Drexel Hill where he attended St. Dorothy grade school. He graduated from Msgr. Bonner High School and St. Joseph’s University.  Jack was a US Army Reserve Veteran. Jack worked for Sun Oil Company for 24 years and The Hay Group for 17 years before his retirement. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and served as a Eucharistic Minister. He loved going to Phillies games and the trips he took with his wife Nancy to Phillies Spring Training. Jack and Nancy enjoyed 53 years of marriage and he cherished time spent with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He looked forward to annual family vacations in Avalon and found joy surf fishing and searching for sea glass on the beach. Jack was a kind and gentle man who took pleasure in the simple things in life.
