John C. Gardler, 67, of Drexel Hill passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 29, 2022.
John was the son of (the late) Harrison and Loretta Gardler in Upper Darby. He graduated from Upper Darby high school and he was a member of St. Cyril’s Parish.
He was a lover of sports- playing basketball in his younger years and fantasy football in his later years, family vacations down the shore or up the mountains, and being a “grandpa” to his 4 fur-babies. He was a devoted family man that was known for never missing any of his son’s sporting events and being a father figure to anyone that needed guidance. He gave true meaning to the phrase “would give the shirt off his own back” to help someone. The Gardler house was always open, and he constantly went out of his way to make everyone feel welcome, family or not. He prided himself on being a people-person which was validated by his 35 plus year career as a real estate agent.
Beloved husband of Joann Gardler; Loving Father to Shawn Gardler, Tony Gardler, and Rachel Gardler. He is predeceased by his siblings Maryann Gardler, Harrison Gardler, Loretta Gardler, and Jim Gardler. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and more.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Thursday, August 4, 2022 10:00am St. Eugene 200 South Oak Ave, Primos, Pa 19018 and to his Funeral Mass 11:00am in the Church. Int Private.
