Joan A. (Gallagher) Gearhart

Joan A. (Gallagher) Gearhart, age 95, of Ocean City, NJ passed away peacefully on October 12th at 10:12 AM in Orange County, CA.

Joan was the daughter of the late Nicholas P. Gallagher and Beatrice V. (Morris) Gallagher and was born in Boston, MA.  She graduated from Notre Dame Moylan in Media, Pa.  She loved spending time at the beach with family and friends.  After years as a Real Estate Broker/Agent in Ocean City, N.J., she retired and moved to Sunny Southern California to live with her daughter. She truly enjoyed passing the days reading in her garden sanctuary and taking care of her two little dogs, Daisy & Teddy.

Loving Mother to William M. Gearhart IV, Spouse Josette Gearhart (DeFrancisco), Robert L. Gearhart, Spouse Mary Gearhart (Menta) and Jody Gearhart Ocampo, Spouse Andre Ocampo. Cherished Nana to David N. Gearhart, Lauren V. Peat, Genevieve Gearhart, Andrew Gearhart and Katie Ocampo. Sister to Nancy Burke (Gallagher), Suzanne McDonald (Gallagher), Spouse John McDonald, and Richard “Dick” Gallagher.

She is predeceased by her parents and her sister Nancy.  Joan is also survived by her six beautiful great grandchildren, Daniel Gearhart, Isabel Gearhart, Hunter Peat, Everett Peat, Beckett Peat and Griffin Gearhart Bamberg-Johnson.

Relatives and friends are invited to Joan’s Visitation Tuesday, December 3, 2024  9:30AM at O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Road Springfield, PA 19064 and to her Memorial Service 10:30 AM in the Funeral Home.  Int.
