Jill Bonner Obituary

In Loving Memory of Jill Anne Bonner

Jill A. Bonner, age 65, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, from heart failure. It’s hard to fathom that the very heart which gave so much love, comfort, and care to everyone around her could have failed her. Perhaps it’s because she gave so much of it away—selflessly, generously, and without hesitation.

To know Jill was to know compassion. Anyone who knew Jill would describe her as a caregiver, so healthcare was an obvious career choice, but Jill was a caregiver long before she ever embarked on any training in medicine. As the eldest of seven siblings, she wore her babysitter badge with honor and embraced the role with pride. By eighth grade, she was already volunteering as a Candy Striper, and soon after, she began visiting and caring for a young mother battling severe MS. Jill’s calling led her to a career in nursing, where her empathy and dedication touched countless lives. Her instinct to help others was never about duty—it was simply who she was.

Jill was a dedicated mother who loved and cherished every moment she spent with her children. After bringing her daughter Danielle into the world, she waited patiently and hopefully for another child. Eleven years later, her wish came true with the birth of her son, Paul Aidan. Motherhood was her greatest joy and proudest role. She never missed an opportunity to tell her children how much she loved them and how proud they made her. Jill was an incredibly fun, wise, and endlessly understanding mom—always knowing when to offer guidance, when to challenge, when to listen, and when to simply be a friend.

Family was Jill’s heartbeat. She never missed a gathering, no matter how big or small, and loved every moment spent with her many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Her love extended beyond bloodlines—she built lasting friendships wherever she went, she embraced friends of family members like they were her own, and her warmth made everyone feel welcomed and at home. Jill cultivated deep, enduring friendships—many of which began in high school and remained steadfast through every chapter of her life. Her loyalty and unwavering support made her not just a friend, but a constant presence in the lives of those lucky enough to know her.

Jill had a zest for life and loved any excuse to celebrate. Her spirit was vibrant, and her laughter was frequent and contagious. She adored music, movies & television, dancing, reading, theater, live comedy, and travel. She loved discovering new restaurants and was always on the lookout for unforgettable new bites and flavors. She was creative and crafty, sewing beautiful prom dresses, Halloween costumes, and home décor that made her loved ones feel special and seen.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Jill was the beloved daughter of the late Arlene and Eugene Bonner. She graduated as class president from Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School. She earned her RN from the Lankenau School of Nursing and later her Bachelor of Science from Widener University.

She is survived by her loving children, Danielle Rementer and Paul Aidan Rementer; Danielle’s partner, Bryan Way, and his family, with whom Jill shared a caring bond; her siblings John Bonner, Kelly Quinn (Dan), Lisa Ward (Joe), Kyle Bonner (Charlene), and Dana Andresen (Dave); and the loving father of her children, Paul Rementer. She was predeceased by her brother, Eugene Bonner. Jill also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and dear friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
