Jerry DiPhillippo, 79, of South Coventry Township, went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2025, after a courageous battle with ALS.
Born in Philadelphia on January 26, 1946, Jerry was the beloved son of the late Mary and Jerry DiPhillippo. A proud graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School and Cheyney University, he devoted his life to education, faith, and family. Jerry was a gifted educator, mentor, and public speaker whose kindness, discipline, and encouragement inspired countless students and friends.
A lifelong athlete and competitor, Jerry found joy in fitness and football. He proudly played for Cheyney University and later for the Pottstown Thunderbirds, where he formed lifelong friendships and cherished memories. Above all, he lived his life rooted in faith as a devoted member of Calvary Chapel Chester Springs, drawing daily strength from God’s Word.
Jerry’s greatest joy was his family. He was the loving husband of 48 years to BettyAnn, a devoted father to Jerry and Justin, and a cherished “Poppy” to his grandchildren Reign, Isla, Dax, and Miles, who were the light of his life. Known for his warmth, humor, craftsmanship, and boundless energy, Jerry was a friend to all and a steady example of faith, hard work, and love.
A memorial service celebrating Jerry’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Calvary Chapel Chester Springs, 217 Dowlin Forge Rd., Exton, PA 19341.
