Jeffrey Scolis Obituary

Jeffrey “Jeff” Francis Scolis, age 53 of Glenside, PA  passed away on December 27th, 2021, with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of Jane (Pompei) Scolis and devoted father to Jordan and Jenna Scolis.

Jeff was born on January 29th,1968 in Bryn Mawr, PA to Marian (Ludden) Scolis and the late Joseph A. Scolis. Jeff is survived by his six siblings, Joseph (Elizabeth), Stephen (Charlotte), Michael (Lori), Patricia (Christopher), Kevin, and Mark (Brigid); his brother-in-law Phillip Pompei (Jeanie), as well as many adoring nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.

Jeff was raised in Springfield PA, where he attended Holy Cross elementary school and was a 1986 graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School.

Jeff was a successful entrepreneur and proud co-owner of S&S Heating and Air Conditioning. He and long-time friend and partner, Ed Smith, ran the business for 20 years. Together, they built a thriving company founded on the guiding principles of valuing teamwork, loyalty, respect and commitment to assuring the highest level of service and quality to their clients. Jeff inherently understood and valued the importance of his business relationships. He was highly respected and loved by his employees, customers and business partners alike. He made many cherished friends along the way.

Jeff could always fill a room with his enormous presence, broad smile, and quick wit. He’d just assume greet you with a big hug or a hearty handshake. He was a uniquely selfless man full of love, kindness, generosity, compassion, and humility. Possessed of a keen insight, borne of sensitivity and intelligence, he understood the important things in life. He never took his time with family and friends for granted. He was always making plans to meet with others for a dinner, a show, an event or setting up his next travel destination. In contrast to the often hectic and tiresome demands of work, he would frequently say, “we’ve got to have something to look forward to”. His two favorite quotes were “it’s hysterical” and “you’re doing great”. Jeff’s positivity affected the lives of countless people. You are amongst the truly blessed if you know him as a son, a husband, a father, a brother, an uncle or a friend.

By far, Jeff's proudest accomplishments are his children, Jordan and Jenna, that he and Jane raised to be two strong, smart, compassionate, humble, kind, and successful young adults who share his immense love of family and friends.
